Gantry cranes are mainly used for loading and unloading operations in outdoor freight yard, cargo yard, bulk cargo. Its metal structure like a door frame, under the carrying main beam have two support legs, can walk directly on the ground track, at the both ends of main beam, there can be extended cantilever beam.
The gantry crane has the advantages of high utilization rate, wide operating range, wide adaptability and versatility, is widely used in the port freight yard.
Gantry cranes can be divided into gantry cranes and cantilever gantry cranes in the door frames.
Gantry crane
1. Totally Gantry crane: the main beam is without cantilever beam, the lifting trolley traveling within the main span.
2. Half-door gantry crane (semi gantry crane, single leg gantry crane): according to requirements of the work site.
Cantilever gantry crane
1. Double cantilever gantry crane: the most common structure gantry crane, the structure of force and use effective of work site area is reasonable.
2. Single cantilever gantry crane: This structure is often due to the limitations of the work site.
