The single beam gantry crane has a simple structure, convenient to install and operate, small dead weight, and the main beam is mostly a derailed box-shaped frame structure. Compared to double girder gantry cranes, the overall stiffness is weaker. Therefore, when the lifting weight is less than 30t and the span is less than 35m, can adopt single beam gantry crane.
Single beam gantry crane has two types of L-shaped and C-shaped, the L-type is easy to manufacture and install, and the force is good, but the space for lifting the cargo through the legs is relatively small. The legs of the C-type are made inclined or curved, and the purpose is to have a large lateral space for the goods to pass smoothly through the legs.
Single and double girder gantry cranes
Under normal circumstances, the lifting weight is below 30t and the span is within 35m, if no special use requirement, the single beam gantry crane should be used. If the support leg width is required to be large, the working speed is high, or often need to lift the heavy parts and long pieces, the double beam gantry crane should be selected.
Span and cantilever length
The span of gantry crane is an important factor affecting the quality of the crane. In the selection, the span should be minimized under the premise of meeting the equipment usage conditions and meeting the span series standards.
